Escherichia coli (RNAi)
Escherichia coli (E.coli) strain used in Caenorhabditis laboratories for silencing gene expression.
Escherichia coli (RNAi) is a laboratory strain of the bacterium Escherichia coli that has been genetically engineered to produce small RNA molecules known as short interfering RNAs (siRNAs). These siRNAs are commonly used in a technique called RNA interference (RNAi), which is a powerful tool for studying gene function.
